Rachel PUNGU LUAMBA
Rachel PUNGU LUAMBA was appointed Managing Director of the National Investment Promotion Agency (ANAPI), by Presidential Ordinance No. 24/109 on December 16, 2024.
She holds an Executive Master’s in Financial Management from the HEC Paris in France, obtained in 2021, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Sciences from the University of Mons-Hainaut in Belgium (1998).
Before her appointment, she was a Senior Executive and Director at the Central Bank of Congo, where she served as Senior Internal Auditor, responsible for the pool dealing with anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism financing, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Previously, she was an advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Congo, Mr. Deogratias MUTOMBO MWANA NYEMBO.
She is a member of professional organizations including the French Institute of Internal Audit and Control (IFACI), the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and the French Association of Financial Directors and Management Controllers (DFCG).
She has previously worked in management control in the private sector and possesses extensive experience in financial management, internal control, and corporate governance.
In her new role as Managing Director of ANAPI, Rachel PUNGU LUAMBA aims to significantly improve the business climate in the DRC. She is committed to promoting investment opportunities and attracting local and international investors by providing a favorable environment and attractive incentives. She aspires to modernize administrative procedures to simplify the processes for investors while ensuring transparency and integrity in the operations.
