The Democratic Republic of Congo presents the Doing Business 2018 reforms

Under the patronage of His Excellency BAHATI LUKUEBO, Minister of State, Minister of Planning, the National Agency for the Promotion of Investment organized on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at  Pullman Hotel, a workshop presenting the 2018 Doing Business reforms.

Six indicators have been reformed in the perspective of the 2018 Doing Business Report including: (1) Starting a Business (2) Dealing with Construction Permits, (3) Registering Property (4) Getting Electricity, (5) Paying Taxes (6) Trading across borders.

The reforms declared by the DRC were officially handed over to the Resident Representative of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in the DRC who represented the World Bank's Director of Operations. The DRC hopes to see all these courageous reforms taken into account in the general ranking that will be published in October 2017 by the World Bank.

The ceremony was attended by a number of high rank officials, including the Vice-President of the Senate, members of the Bureau of the National Assembly, Members of the Government, Development Partners, Delegates of Diplomatic Representations, CEOs and delegates of Public Administrations, Civil Society and Private Sector
